The Home Professional Service Card offers a great range of home services. Big or small from changing a doorknob to a full house renovation. If there is a service that we do not offer, we shall try our best to find that service for you.
WHAT DOES THE HOME PROFESSIONAL SERVICE (HPS) CARD DO FOR YOU?
Registered Home Professional Service Card homeowners receive DISCOUNT RATES – no overtime or travel charges for services such as plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, roofing, swimming pool repair, locksmith, appliance, drain emergencies etc. Also, included are professional services such as accountants, lawyers, veterinarians, estate & tax planners, interior decorators, realtors, appraisers, home inspectors, mortgage brokers. Our Service Providers are; Bonded or have a been register with a Police Check, WHMIS Insured and have Customer References. We also have an Internet Forum to voice you likes and dis-likes.
HOW LONG UNTIL A SERVICE CONTRACTOR WILL CONTACT ME?
You should receive a call from your chosen contractor within 2 business days, often the same day. If you are registered on our emergency call program, the contractor of choice would call you right away.
HOW DO I GET A QUOTE?
HOW IS THE PAYMENT HANDLED?
Payments must be made payable ONLY to the Service Provider. The deposit is to the discretion of the Homeowner & the Service Provider. The balance should be given to the Service Provider upon completion of the work, unless a payment schedule (deposit and progress payments) has been arranged prior to start of work. Any quote or contract agreement under the SAVE-ON-FEES Program that has not been registered with the Home Professional Service Card On-Line Registration Service will not be administered and or protected by HPSC as stated below.
HOW DO I ADDRESS A CONCERN OR MAKE A COMPLAINT?
After HPSC has received a copy of your quote or service agreement for the work to be completed, a Service Representative will be assigned to handle any concerns you may have. In some cases, HPSC may involve an on-site inspection in order to resolve a complaint/concern. If the issue is not resolved then HPSC will intervene and if the non resolved issue is not resolved and the issue is solely the responsibility or deficiency of the Service Provider then HPSC will act on behalf of the cardholder in resolving the issue.
WHAT DO WE MEAN BY OUR GUARANTEE?
1) Each of our authorized Service Providers are bonded or Police Checked, licensed and insured, standing behind the work they do for you.
2) HPS Card adds its own guarantee. If the job or service is not done right and the Service Provider can’t or will not complete the work or service as stipulated in the quote or agreement and provided that the quote or agreement was registered by the cardholder prior to the commencement of the work, then the HPS Card staff shall;
A) speak to the Service Provider to require why the work has not been completed as stipulated,
B) put formal documentation of the lack of performance by the Service Provider which shall be issued to the Service Provider,
C) put the Service Provider on notice and remove the Service Provider from Service Provider List until the issue is ratified,
D) notify the bond, license and insurance companies of the mis-representation of the Service Provider,
E) post the Service Provider on social media conveying the events that lead to the unsatisfied result.
All our Service Providers understand and agree to the above protocol. The consequences to the Service Providers are that if these measures were implemented by HPS on the behalf of the Cardholder, the results would be detrimental to the operation of the Service Provider.
